2025 U.S. Tropical Weather Outlook

The 2024 Atlantic hurricane season was one of the most destructive on record. While an average season might produce about seven hurricanes, last year produced 11.

Now, based on comparable years from the past, it looks like 2025 could be another above-average year for tropical cyclone activity.

How bad could it be?

Join AEM's team of experts for our 2025 Tropical Outlook as we reveal:
  • The climatological patterns that will drive this year’s tropical storm activity.
  • How many named storms we might see in the Atlantic this season.
  • How many of those storms will likely become hurricanes.
